Roof Leak Repair Service Area & ZIP Codes

Every San Antonio ZIP code covered for roof leak work, grouped into the districts people actually use — plus the surrounding towns, which are handled separately.

How the coverage works

San Antonio is geographically enormous — the city limits sprawl across Bexar County and spill into three more — so "we serve San Antonio" is not a useful statement on its own. The list below is the actual footprint: 83 ZIP codes, of which 59 have residential delivery and the rest are post office boxes, military installations or unique-recipient codes with nobody living in them.

The districts are organised the way a homeowner thinks about the city rather than the way the postal service does. Someone in Sonterra says "Stone Oak", not "78258". Someone near the hospitals says "Medical Center", not "78229". Find the heading that sounds like where you live and your ZIP will be under it.

Why this matters beyond navigation: roofs fail differently across the city, and the difference is not random. The far north went up mostly in the last thirty years, so its leaks are workmanship at the details rather than worn-out shingles. The near-downtown neighbourhoods have housing stock approaching a century old, with complex rooflines and multiple layers of past roofing. The northeast sits where storms track. The south side has a lot of mid-century single-storey housing with low-slope additions bolted on. Those are four genuinely different repair problems, and proper leak detection matters more in some of them than others.

Towns outside the city ZIPs

The 782xx codes above are San Antonio proper. The surrounding municipalities have their own ZIP ranges and their own roofing character, and each has a page of its own: Boerne, Cibolo, Converse, Huebner / Leon Creeks, Kyle, Northwest San Antonio, San Marcos, Schertz, Seguin, Universal City. If you are in one of those, start there rather than here — the housing eras and the failure patterns are different enough that the advice changes.

What to do next

If water is moving right now, the ZIP code is the least interesting thing about your situation — go straight to emergency roof leak repair and say that it is active. If it has stopped and you want the cause found properly rather than guessed at, roof leak detection is the right starting point. If a storm came through your district recently, storm and hail damage repair covers what to photograph before anybody climbs anything.

And if you simply want to know what condition your roof is in before the next round of weather, a roof inspection covers the surface and the attic in one visit. Whichever it is, roof leak repair across San Antonio has the full picture of how this works across the city.

Service area questions

How do I know if my ZIP code is covered?

Find it in the lists above. If your ZIP begins 782 and appears on this page, a contractor covering your part of the city can be reached through the number on this site. If it is not listed, call anyway and say where you are — coverage at the edges of the metro changes, and the surrounding towns are handled separately.

Why are some ZIP codes listed as PO Box only?

A number of 782xx ZIPs are not residential delivery areas at all. They are post office box ranges, military installations or unique-recipient codes assigned to a single large organisation. They sit inside the coverage footprint but nobody lives in them, so there is no roof there to repair. They are listed for completeness rather than because they are useful to a homeowner.

Does the ZIP code change what a repair costs?

Not directly, and anybody pricing by ZIP is guessing. What does change by area is the kind of roof and the kind of failure: housing era, roof pitch and complexity, tree cover, and whether the subdivision went up in one wave or over fifty years. Those are the things that move a scope, which is why the district pages describe them rather than quoting a figure.

Do you cover the towns outside San Antonio?

Yes — Boerne, Cibolo, Converse, Kyle, San Marcos, Schertz, Seguin and Universal City each have their own page, and they sit outside the 782xx city ZIPs listed here. Tell whoever answers the phone which town you are in so the call is routed to somebody who actually works that far out.

I am right on the edge between two districts. Does it matter?

Not for getting help. The districts on this page are a way of organising a long list of ZIPs into something a homeowner recognises, not hard service boundaries. What matters on the call is your address and what the water is doing.
