What we are
GPS Rain Leak Repair is a referral service. When you call the number on this site, your call is connected to an independent licensed and insured roofing contractor who works your part of the San Antonio metro. We are not a roofing contractor. We do not perform roofing work, we do not employ roofing crews, we do not hold materials, and we do not set prices.
That distinction matters, so it is worth being blunt about what it means in practice. The contractor who arrives at your property is the one responsible for inspecting the roof, diagnosing the leak, quoting the work, scheduling it, performing it, and standing behind it. Your agreement is with them. We are the routing layer that gets your problem in front of somebody who actually works your area, instead of leaving you to call down a list of numbers at nine o'clock at night with water coming through a ceiling.
Why this exists
A roof leak is an unusually bad problem to shop for. It is urgent, so you have no time to research. It is technical, so you cannot easily judge whether a quote is reasonable. It is invisible, because the part that failed is somewhere you cannot see. And the cost of choosing badly is high, since a repair aimed at the wrong place leaves the leak running and buries the evidence.
Meanwhile, the thing most people need first is not a repair at all. It is a diagnosis. Water that gets past a shingle runs along the decking until something stops it, so the stain on your ceiling is where the water left the attic, not where it entered the roof. Sealing above the stain is the most common wasted repair in residential roofing. Getting that order right — find it, then fix it — is most of what separates a good outcome from a repeat visit, and it is the reason roof leak detection is treated as its own service here rather than as an afterthought.
So the job we have set ourselves is narrow: route the call quickly to somebody local and competent, and in the meantime publish genuinely useful information about how roof leaks work, so that a homeowner reading this at midnight understands what is happening to their house and what to ask for. If you want the full version of that, citywide roof leak repair is the place to start.
How the referral works
- 01
You call
You describe where the water is showing, when it started, and whether it is moving right now. That is enough to route the call correctly.
- 02
- 03
You deal directly with them
Inspection, diagnosis, quote, schedule and work are all between you and that contractor. We are not a party to the agreement and we do not take a position on the scope or the price.
What we will not do
There are a number of things common in this industry that you will not find on this site, and the reasons are the same in each case: we cannot verify them, so publishing them would be misleading.
- No reviews or star ratings. We are not in a position to verify testimonials on behalf of an independent contractor, so we do not publish any.
- No award badges or certification logos belonging to anybody but the party that actually holds them.
- No years-in-business or jobs-completed figures.
- No response-time guarantees. We do not control a contractor's schedule and cannot promise one on their behalf.
- No prices. Nobody can price a roof leak repair before seeing the roof. Anyone who quotes a firm figure over the phone is guessing, and the guess is rarely in your favour.
- No invented local detail. Where this site refers to local conditions — the region's intense downpours, the spring hail season, the long high-ultraviolet summers, the expansive clay soils common across the area — those are widely known characteristics of this part of Texas. We do not fabricate statistics, landmarks or neighbourhood anecdotes to sound local.
What we do publish is general, practical information about how roofs leak and how leaks are found and repaired. That is established trade knowledge and we state it plainly. What we never do is present it as a diagnosis of your specific roof. Only somebody who has been on your roof and in your attic can do that, which is what a roof inspection is for.
About contractor credentials
The contractors we route calls to are independent businesses, licensed and insured in their own right. Because they are independent, their credentials belong to them and they are the correct party to show you. We would encourage you to ask, every time, regardless of who referred you: ask to see the licence, ask for a certificate of insurance, ask for the scope in writing with the failed component named rather than described, and ask to be shown the damage — in person or in photographs — before you agree to anything.
That is good practice with any contractor. It is particularly worth insisting on after a storm, when door-to-door activity increases across the metro. Do not sign anything that assigns an insurance claim or commits you to work contingent on a claim outcome, and be wary of large payments up front.
Where to find us
Our address is 15002 Tradesman Dr, San Antonio, TX 78249, and the number for the referral line is 123456789. If you would rather see what to have ready before you call, the contact page covers it.
Are you a roofing contractor?
No. GPS Rain Leak Repair is a referral service. We do not perform roofing work, employ roofing crews, hold materials or set prices. Calls to the number on this site are connected to independent licensed and insured roofing contractors serving San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
Who is responsible for the work?
The contractor you choose to hire. They are responsible for the inspection, the quote, the schedule, the workmanship and any warranty on the repair. Your agreement is with them, not with us. We recommend asking for a licence, a certificate of insurance and a written scope before work begins.
Why are there no reviews or ratings on this site?
Because we are not in a position to verify them on behalf of an independent contractor, and publishing unverifiable social proof would be misleading. The same reasoning applies to star ratings, award badges, years-in-business figures and response-time promises. You will not find any of them here.
Does it cost anything to call?
There is no charge to you for the referral itself. Any cost for inspection, diagnosis or repair work is a matter between you and the contractor you hire, and should be agreed in writing with them before work starts.
